About the Fleet
The Mount Vernon Yacht Club’s club racing is designed for casual sailboat racing and is perfect for sailors of all skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced sailor, this is a great opportunity to learn about racing and improve your skills. Safety, fun, and camaraderie are our top priorities as we enjoy the thrill of competition and the challenge of improving our sailing abilities. The fleet hosts a small dinghy fleet of lasers, and larger keelboats ranging in size from 19’ to 40+ feet.
Sail Fleet schedules several leisure and racing opportunities each season. See below for the current schedule of events.
Fall 2025 Schedule
August 23: Summer Race (Dock Time: 11am)
September 12: TGIF (Gross, Berger, Rosen) (7pm)
September 13: Fall Sail (11am)
October 12: Keelboats for Kids Learn to Sail Program for Ages 7+ (2pm)
