Pool Clean Up Day:

April 27 is shaping up to be a bustling day at MVYC. Alongside the swim team breakfast and the USCG Auxiliary inspections, we're also incorporating a pool cleanup day. The more hands on deck, the better!

We need volunteers to assist our pool chair with a variety of tasks to get our club ready for a fantastic pool season. Here’s what we’ll be tackling:

Pool Deck Work List:

• Clear Debris & Power Wash: Start by removing all debris from the pool deck and giving everything a thorough power wash.
• Furniture Arrangement: Help arrange all the furniture and umbrellas on the pool deck. If you have any layout ideas, please share them at pool@mvyc.net.
• Picnic Tables: Relocate the old heavy picnic tables to docks A and B, and help construct new picnic tables to be placed on the lawn.
• Assemble Furniture: Put together new furniture pieces and umbrella stands.
• Lawn Maintenance: Tidy up the lawn area next to the pool, removing all debris and fallen tree parts.
• Lifeguard Space: Organize and clean the lifeguard area.
• Mobility Equipment: Move the portable mobility equipment to the space under the stairs near the women's restroom.
• Additional Cleanup: Clean the bathrooms and tidy up the pool hallway entrance.
• Throw Away: Everything that is not usable, looks like junk or not related to pool operations. (Dave has final call)

What to Bring: If possible, please bring tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, power washers, leaf blowers, and chainsaws. A good dose of elbow grease will also be invaluable!

As a token of appreciation for your hard work, Dave might have some frosty beverages of all kinds to trade for your sweat equity.
