Born and raised in Northern California, Scott first came east to attend the US Naval Academy. Since graduating in 1993, he has been privileged to travel the world. He is still active duty in the Navy’s small Explosive Ordnance Disposal community, currently assigned to Indian Head, MD. Scott and his wife, Erica, have been married 15 years and are blessed with three beautiful girls. Elsie will soon be 9 years old and a second-grader; Caly will soon be 7
and is in First Grade; Mari just turned 5. The Krafts are also often accompanied by their dog, Scupper. The Krafts live near Stratford Landing, having bought in 2015 with the desire and intent to grow roots and stay for the foreseeable future. The family promptly and gratefully joined MVYC and have thoroughly enjoyed its community, pool, locale and activities. As a family, they relish boating on Galene, their 2010 Back Cove 33. It is
truly a special “way of life” for them. Scott’s favorite word is “together” and he loves how boating helps strip away distractions, simplifies living, and allows us to, amidst the beauty of our Potomac, enjoy the presence and company of each other. Scott has served as a Director for the past 2 years: first as Chair of the Grounds Committee and most recently as Marina Chair.
